Denette Dunn is an abstract artist who resides in Arizona, and whose work has been shown in local art gallerys and exhibitions. Using larger canvasses and a dazzling array of colors, she creates designs, shapes and lines using unconventional methods. Her pieces may correspond to physical objects, and they express unconscious emotion and thoughts, and holds them, frozen in time. |

My art reflects my love of color. I also have always loved Salvador Dali because he hid objects in his paintings. I also hide images in my work. I like to think of my work as clouds; using one's imagination, you can see objects. I also enjoy the work of abstractionists like Jackson Pollock, who coined the phrase, "action painting." This form of art emerged in the late 1940's. |
